“Stop the Wars Now” sign-waving and rally from 10:00 am to noon on Saturday March 20 in front of the State Building in Wailuku (High and Main streets) in solidarity with national and international demonstrations to mark the seventh anniversary of the invasion of Iraq.
Come on out for an old-fashioned street-corner anti-war demonstration, like we and the whole world did back in ‘03!
The United States spends as much money on the military as the entire rest of the world combined. Who are we afraid of? Who are we fighting? As Martin Luther King Jr. said: “A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death.”
Bring your signs, or use ours. Bring the kids, neighbors, friends, veterans! Everybody’s welcome. Don’t forget sun protection & some water. Stay for any length of time that you can.
Stop the Wars Now!
